Just choose what you would like to spend doing during your volunteer time and send us some info. Each position should take no more than 2 hours per month and we ask for only a 6-month commitment. Thank you for wanting to serve.
Volunteer Coordinator - Help The Workshop identify and define beneficial tasks that could be performed on a voluntary basis. Clearly define each task's responsibility and authority, including who to go to with questions and concerns. Train or delegate necessary training of other Volunteers. Oversee a Volunteer Hours Log (beneficial for applying for grants and sponsorships)
Volunteer Organizer - Keep a roster of all current volunteers and touch base with them, ensuring they are able to fulfill their duties and get their information to The Workshop.
Insurance Guru - Share knowledge of paperwork and process for becoming an in-network provider with applicable insurance companies and to help clients self-claim when appropriate.
Blogger - Write at least one blog a month, but no more than two, regarding what is going on or coming up at The Workshop. Each writing submission will be reviewed by the Executive Director before being placed on website.
Webmaster - Keep the website updated for current events, news, groups, volunteer and item needs, etc. Will be reviewed by the Executive Director before being published.
Event Organizer - Plan the event, assign volunteers to tasks, other duties as required. Two options: the car show or the golf tournament.
Event Host - Host an event to benefit The Workshop. Lots of options, be creative.
Social Media - Update and keep current The Workshop's presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. Information needs to be reviewed by the Executive Director before publication.
Photographer/Videographer - Be able to take pictures of events, people involved, places for posting on the website and social media. Be able to record video for the same.
Class Lead - Teach a class at The Workshop locations for approximately one hour each month. Options include basic auto care, art, cooking, wood shop, or even a new game.
Game Night Coordinator - Organize a monthly game night at The Workshop including hours, schedule, and snacks, if any.
Grant Writer - Search for available grants applicable to The Workshop and complete applications for those grants.
