The Bravery Program for Men

Welcome to The Bravery Program for Men

“And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
- Romans 12:2
The Bravery Program for Men is a 12-session peer-support group program exclusively for male sexual assault survivors, designed for healing and growth by providing a safe and confidential environment. Group participants will review a variety of topics including safety, acceptance, grieving, shame, remembering, anger, connection and forgiveness.

Although the materials are based in Christian values, participants are not required to accept this worldview or its beliefs to fully participate in the group. Participants interact with other participants in an open, non-judgmental, and supportive way.

George Fritts, Founder of Workshop Counseling, upon learning of the near-complete lack of support available for this particular population, worked with survivors and other mental health professionals to develop the materials. George is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the mid-cities area with a Master in Theology, Pastoral Care and Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. He is a compassionate counselor who believes in bridging the gap that often exists between the mental health and faith communities. All program facilitators have been personally screened by him and are credentialed mental health professionals throughout the DFW area.

All materials for the program are included within the costs of the course, and need-based scholarships are readily available. Upon completion of the program, members will be provided with the option to continue in individual or group therapy and presented with resources to continue on their journey of healing and contribution.
